| Other text of the description | My system is mobile and completely autonomous. Enabling you to tow (get airborne) hang gliders in different ways. STATIC, STATIONARY or STEP TOWING. The winch is mounted on a 65 hp buggy and is protected against any action of the cable. The 5000 feet cable is enclosed in an hermetic casing and comes OUT or IN at the top of the buggy no possibilities of tangled cable here. It can rotate on a 360 degree angle so you will be able to tow from any directions.
The adjustable servo controlled hydrostatic winch keeps a precise constant cable tension (0 to 300 pounds) and compensate for any variation in speed or wind draft. . Once the cable is released an reeled in a drag chute takes care of any tangling in the cable.Extend the cable back and you are ready to launch a new hang glider in the air. It is as simple as that.
In stationary towing you just extend the 5000 feet cable to the length needed with the buggy once the hang glider is set to go you reel the cable from any directions. The hang glider has only one place to go and that is up there. When the glider comes up near the winch you than do STEP TOWING simply put the tension of the hydrostatic winch to zero the glider then makes a good 180 degrees turn to go in the direction of the wind for a while, then makes another 180 degrees turn, at this moment put the tension back on and the hang glider gets an upward lift, just repeat the procedure to get to higher altitude. Once the cable is released and reeled in you are ready to take another hang glider in the air. It is as simple as that. NOTE THAT ONLY ONE MACHINE IS NEEDED TO DO THE JOB.
In static towing you just extend part of the 5000 feet cable about 100 feet or less with the 65 hp powered buggy, attach the hang glider to the cable and move forward with the buggy. The cable comes out of the winch and the glider goes up. All you need is a tow path (beach, unused road, field etc) to get the hang glider airborne. If the wind is fast enough up there slow down or stop than the buggy becomes a STATIONNARY winch.
In short it is a completely autonomous hang glider towing system. Hang gliders can be town in either STATIC, STATIONARY OR STEP TOWING. The pump and the hydraulic system are standard and are of the best component available on the market. Everything is easily accessible for easy maintenance.
Ideal for beginner, intermediate or advanced hang glider. It easily surpass anything on the market today. |
